I wanted to start the new year and new decade off by actually sharing a reflection of the previous year. I realize many people have been doing a deeply retrospective look at their past decade, but I ain’t got time for that. I will say, the past 10 years have been pretty darn eventful. There were all kinds of great challenges and some painful events.
The makeup of our family was forever changed when we lost my sister-in-love to cancer, followed shortly by the loss of our grandmama, aslo to cancer. Fuck cancer. But my family is resilient and so am I. This same decade brought many awards and accomplishments of life long dreams. God is good through every step and I’m genuinely thrilled by the life I am blessed to live.
So, back to 2019. Before I jump full speed into this new year, I want to give thanks for all that 2019 brought me. I did this super cute and time consuming story reflection on Instagram so I’m just gonna throw them into a gallery and share them here.
