i’m a very active person and most of the time i’m a very fit person. lately though i’ve been quite lax with my workouts and after seeing a few pictures i realized being lax probably isn’t a good look. to be sure, i’m still gorgeous in my pix but i’m not feeling 100 percent “sexy” in them and that’s not cool.

so i’m going to do something crazy with my coworkers to jump start my workouts for the remainder of the summer. i’m going to do a seven minute workout that according to the ny times is scientifically proven to work. honestly, it looks a lot like insanity. i did that for a full week before realizing i’m not insane even a little bit. so yeah, that didn’t work out.

for a little context, i was a cheerleader middle school through college so i’m no stranger to working out and hard work. and man i loved that cute little physique. but i don’t have hours of free time or the pressure to be a certain size motivating me to stay fit. i do enjoy physical activities though. i regularly hike, swim, walk, dance and run. well, i occasionally run although thanks to black girls run, i’m working on getting back into it. either way, i like to be active and that keeps me from weighing a ton. but it doesn’t keep me nice and trim. so we’ll give this a try. if it suits you, join in the fun. if the ny times said it works, i mean, come on! of course it works!
