what happens when you combine your best girlfriends, paint and wine? a party! i hardly ever get to hang out with my friends when i go home for the holidays. it’s usually all about the family. but this time i wanted to make sure i saw my peeps. we scheduled a paint and sip party at the thirsty palette in kansas city and put our creativity – and drinking skills – to good use!
we were guided through a painting project by a very capable artists while indulging in adult beverages. while i consider myself to be artsy in many ways, i’m not the best painter. the funny thing is, i paint all the time. it’s one of the many ways i relive stress. i have a bunch of blank canvases and when i need to unwind, i open a bottle of malbec or a delicious cab and get to painting. i’ve done flowers, guitars and things for my sorority sisters. it’s all fun and nothing special. but just further proof that this business model is a brilliant ideas! paint and wine just belong together.
so along with some lifelong friends, my mom and a friends older sister, we got tipsy and artsy at the same time!.
