What I learned from my badass sister group of POC women leaders

I know a lot of people believe the lies that women can’t be friends. I don’t know why that is even something people put into the atmosphere. Seriously, the sisterhood is hella strong and has been for a long time.

My birthday is one of the most important days of the year. You can fight me on it, but I’d win. For starters, I was born on that day, automatically making it a holiday. But, it turns out, my birthday …

  • I thought I heard someone say it’s a snow day! ❄️ ⛄️

I don’t know about you but I used to live for a snow day as a kid. Joining the neighborhood snowball fight, making snow angels, sledding down the hill by our house and building snowmen in the yard were just a few highlights.

As an adult, we often forget about the magic of those moments unless we have children in our lives to experience it with. I want to challenge all my non child-having adult friends to get outside today and play in the snow, if only for a few minutes. It is a great reminder that fun is a necessary part of life and laughter does the body good like a medicine.

And when you’re done, go ahead and spike that hot chocolate cuz you’re grown and you can do that!
